IMPORTANT CHANGES AND UPDATE FROM PARISH OFFICE!!!

Good morning,

Please be advised that, beginning this weekend, April 10/11, weekend Mass will no longer be streamed on Facebook.  In addition, Communion will no longer be distributed after weekend Masses.

These changes are being made in connection with the Bishop’s decision to require Mass attendance on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.  The following groups still have dispensation:

Those 65 years of age or older;

Those at risk for severe illness due to underlying medical conditions as described by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention;

Those who care for the sick, homebound, or infirmed;

Those women who are pregnant;

Those who cannot be accommodated at Mass because the church was at safe-distancing capacity.

Those who are sick or have come in contact with someone with COVID-19/flu are obligated to stay home and are therefore excused.

Answers to questions can be found at dio.org/backtomass.

Please be sure share this information with those who may not have access to email/social media.

Thank you and have a blessed and wonderful weekend!

Welcome

Our Churches:

St Aloysius and St Joseph

Our Mission Statement:We come together from three different parishes to form a community of faith whose patron is St. Isidore the Farmer.  Our Ancestors have given many of us a German work ethic and a bond with the soil. We form a sacramental people in the Effingham Deanery of the Roman Catholic diocese of Springfield in Illinois. The Sacred Scriptures and the sacraments of the Church sustain us as we strive to know, love and serve the Lord;  forgive those who offend us;  welcome the stranger;  bring the gospel to the marketplace;  and develop hearts that are filled with gratitude. We endeavor to be instruments of the Holy Spirit in building the kingdom of God.
